Sacrifice and Martyrdom

Sacrifice is a concept which 21st century culture does not yet understand as a term of light. For sacrifice is understood as martyrdom, and martyrdom is both hated and worshiped. Sacrifice as martyrdom must be let go of and must be understood in differing terms. The pain must be transmuted into light energy by letting go of the understanding of sacrifice as martyrdom.

Sacrifice is joy on behalf of another, a giving of oneself for another. Martyrdom is death by enemy of the cross of Christ. There is an enormous difference. Those martyred in other lifetimes for giving as sacrifice are received again in 21st century lifetime as martyrs. This ought not so to be.

When one gives as sacrifice, one is abused as martyr. Why?

Sacrifice is love. Martyrdom is loss of independence of the self to choose relationships of interdependence. It is a cutting off, a separation, a loss, an end of the truth of life.

When a person sacrifices for another, she is showing love for another, but if the one receiving experiences the sacrifice as martyrdom so that she might have a better life at the expense of the giver, this is the altar of martyrdom. The one gives love. Another corrupts it again and again.

Until the one receiving can receive sacrifice of the other as love, she cannot be touched with the love of Christ.

When the receiver transmutes into hate that which is offered in sacrifice and pins that hate onto the one who gives in love, an odious offense takes place and must be corrected
for the truth of life to follow.

The one who gives in sacrifice MUST understand the difference so that never again
will she be found on the altar of martyrdom.

What is sacrifice as love? Expose martyrdom to the light, and the truth of this will become evident. Pull martyrdom at the hands of another out of the darkness and expose it for what it is, an odious hatred of self that seeks to injure and steal from others in order to have life.
Expose it and all martyrdom will end within and without.

With thanks to God, everlasting, eternal God!
